After Delivery, Installation or Collection
Following delivery, installation, or collection, the protective sealer on your concrete piece will continue to cure and strengthen over the initial weeks. During this period, we recommend exercising additional care to avoid unnecessary wear or damage.
Over time, normal wear may become visible. This is a natural aspect of concrete and part of the material’s character. As the product ages, subtle changes such as minor colour variation may occur. These variations are expected and do not impact the strength, performance, or structural integrity of the piece.
PROTECTION OF CONCRETE SURFACES DURING CONSTRUCTION & TRADE WORKS
Once a product has been delivered, installed, or collected, it becomes the responsibility of the client and/or site manager to ensure the surface is protected from damage caused by other trades, contractors, or third parties working onsite.
Concrete surfaces must not be used as a workbench, storage area, cutting surface, mixing station, or protective platform during ongoing construction or renovation works.
Damage caused by other trades is not covered under warranty. This includes, but is not limited to:
• Silicone residue or silicone staining
• Paint, grout, adhesives, epoxy, or plaster contamination
• Chemical exposure
• Scratches or abrasions from tools or materials
• Chipping or impact damage
• Heat damage
• Staining caused by construction products or liquids
• Damage caused during cleaning by third parties
It is the client’s responsibility to communicate with all onsite trades regarding the care required around concrete surfaces.
The Concrete Shed does not recommend covering concrete products with non-breathable materials for extended periods, as trapped moisture may affect the sealer or surface appearance. If protection is required during ongoing works, clients should seek advice from The Concrete Shed regarding suitable temporary protection methods.
Any repairs, refinishing, stain treatment, or replacement required due to third-party damage will be treated as a chargeable service and is not covered under warranty.
